Bees are Tears of Ra? Would that make them Ra bees?

    Especially in the Bronze Age.

Anyway Justin could’ve made this into an animated series? Maybe not, with all the hate towards CN, Nick, and Disney these days.

prrh, that’s why they had bronze - because they had both copper and tin. Tin can? Easy to come by if desired.

Talk about Royally Bored. This chick needs some excitement in her life, and getting her wrists stuck to her lapis lazuli was probably the most exciting thing that had happened to her in a while.

I guess there really is such a thing as being too privileged and pampered. This queen bee has become a drone.

Chikuku – How do you know it was realistic? Artists have always been willing to fudge on reality … Photoshop just makes it a whole bunch easier. You could certainly be correct, however. Having said that, what diff? Justin’s artwork is amazing.

The Egyptians were notorious at fudging skin color alone; there was some symbolic value that I’d have to refresh my memory about, at least in some cases. Other ethnic features, however, they seem to have portrayed with quasi-photographic realism.

@Johanan, ‘tin cans’ are actually tin- (or zinc-) plated steel. It’s the steel that would have been hard to come by in ancient Egypt. Tin by itself is too soft to be much good for anything.

I have a knight’s helmet with similar blue markings as Dudley has, right here at my desk. And having worn it for ten years in combat, I can tell you that it is indeed very heavy metal. Steel. Not at all a tin can. :)
