    Ted may have moved it back to the present but it does not change the fact he is a major jerk. Even if Elly’s brother is just looking for a good time, at least he is upfront about it and not into misleading Connie like Ted would do.

    Ha!!!!! Ted is such an arrogant pig that his shock at Connie’s moving on (and so soon too!) probably comes from the “fact” (as he believes it to be!) that after he dates, uses and discards women, he’s then completely ruined them for life where all other men are concerned and that forever afterwards, no one else will ever be able to “measure up” to him . . . so why should they even try?!?!

    As a woman, I can tell that what you said is not true. Women do want nice guys, at least the smart ones do. But it can be fun to try to fix the ‘bad boys’, at least until you realize they’re irreparably broken jerks, then you wise up.
