As Leonard McCoy would say, “Dang it, Jim!” (This time in reference to ‘Garfield’ creator Jim Davis, not the captain of the SS ‘Enterprise’ Jim Kirk.) He put a spot on the strip at which Odie could stare for hours thinking it’s a bug!

But isn’t that what a cat does??

Cats are more likely to try to pounce on the spot on the wall. (Well, not Garfield, but mobile cats!)

My cats are much smarter than my dog. They will smash a picture, a light, and my phone to protect me from that bug.

1 cat + 1 laser pointer = one tired cat.

I remember in the early seventies confusing a drunk with a laser borrowed from a university lab. He was twenty yards away and spent ages puzzling over the moving dot on the nearby factory wall!

It may not be a bug, but a cat only stares if it moves.

Foxtrot beat me to my comment. Everyone knows cats are suckers for anything that looks chaseable.
