Hobbes, somehow I lost the ability to log on to comments, although I was able to read comments. I want to thank you for solvfing the mystery of the last 2 missing panels of my old copy of C&H. In the future I’ll make sure that none of my paper copies of C&H get torn. Happily, I can now comment again.
After the multi vehicle fiery crash of yesterday, any responsible city planner will consider adding speed bumps on the streets. Calvin, my boy, is doing the right thing :).
Hi Arye Uygur I’m using Windows XP, and I am able to log into GoComics with Windows Explorer 7, but when I type a comment and click “Submit,” nothing happens and the words just stay there. I am able to comment in Windows Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera. Don’t know whether this is the problem you have been having. Another person had a password problem and had to keep requesting new passwords in order to log in. Anyway, if you have the problem again, try upgrading your Web browser to the latest version or using a different browser. Mozilla Firefox and Opera are free downloads.
On another note, the espanol version of C&H translates “speed bump” as"bandas de frenado." But my Mexican friebds in Yucatan call it “tope.” It just goes to show that Spanish isn’t the same from country to country.

Just wait ’til his father comes out to mow the lawn – his parents need a long vacation together and some psychiatric treatment as well – wonder if Hobbes could supply that?

So this reminds me about a golf course near my place. On the cart paths, they have speed breakers instead of speed bumps

Every life can use a few well-placed speed bumps. However, not every yard is so deserving.

Calvin’s lucky that Mom’s not the type of mother who’d take that shovel and give him speed bumps all over his body.

Speed bumps were a bad idea. He is going to have to go as fast as he can to get away from his mother.
