I hate when that happens.
Red’s going to be suited up like a hockey goal by the time this is over
Is the mallett okay?
Who knew croquet was such a dangerous game?
Hey Rover, I would stand back if I were you!
Where is Rover’s helmet?
Time for Red to hang up that mallet before he causes some real damage..,.
Poor kid is getting beat up by this game!
Red…you are one dangerous dude!
What a BONK!
Young man, how did this all happen? " Well it seemed liked a good idea at the time, DOCTOR"!
Now that’s more like it.
This has actually been a better, funnier story arc than I had expected. LOL!
All types of danger——-
How did we Boomers ever survive without helmets and knee pads?
Red channeling his inner Stooge.
My kids called that game “Bangy Balls.”
Just call it a “Gimmee” and move on
Stee-rike 1!
I don’t think croquet is right for our Red. Just sayin’ ;)
Yes, it’s amazing how many kids actually survive to adulthood.
After the last few strips, I don’t think Red is either coordinated or smart enough to play croquet.
Give it a rest Red.
Given the second panel, he should wear a cup too.
Is there some Murphy DNA in him?
Brings back happy, if painful, memories of childhood!
If you look carefully, and consider the mechanics involved….
The mallet in the third frame is backwards. The head should be over the wicket, not hitting Red.
Actually, the mallet head might have hit the wicket and pulled it out of the ground. Perhaps causing the wicket to hit Red.
This storyline has only reconfirmed my decision long ago to give up croquet.
He’s learning!
