Hey, this was the first arc I ever read on GoComics! The first strip I read was the one where somebody asks Francis how he’s doing coming up with his own Ken Ken (Nate Nate), and Nate is just eating a snack.

I’m trying to remember what arc this is. Is this “Bethany” getting removed or is this Nate trying to get “Doctor Cesspool” into the newspaper?

This is clearly a dig at the syndicate and newspapers for making the comics section smaller and smaller.

Comics sections in print papers getting smaller and the size of the strips shrinking. Since 1985. Go Comics getting rid of Sherpa and about 15 strips here, most of them a new one every day or week. But those in re-runs and, some for years (Boomerangs has not had a new strip since 2011) or recycling 20 year old strips are staying, while the deleted are truly deleted, even out of the archives.
