This summer, I’m taking a lot of walks and eating healthier. I am also staying in touch with friends and family. I count myself fortunate that I am in a part of the country (DC) where things are going quite well. Our mayor, Muriel Bowser, recently passed a mandate where people have to wear masks when in public places (like retail stores, common areas of apartment buildings, etc.), exempting those who can’t wear a mask for medical reasons and also people coming in from high-risk areas (such as FL) for non-essential purposes (such as delivering food to stores) have to self-quarantine for fourteen (14) days. So, I am pretty confident that we will be ready for phase 3 of reopening in the fall. And that we will have vaccines and treatments by the end of this year (or early 2021). But there is always next summer. So far, though, my summer’s been pretty good.

And look at all the money you saved from not having to buy that swimsuit.

My silver lining is that my daughter decided to do her telecommuting from our house instead of her apartment. We see her every day :-)

The poem may rhyme, but the number words used to make a pleasant sound of it, is off. Try again.

Personally, I kind of enjoy swimming season. To each his/her own, though.
