Just step aside and let Dan do the dishes from now on.

I’m in the middle on this one. If we’ve had a light dinner and there’s only a few dishes I will quickly fill the sink up with hot water wash dishes and be done with it. However if it’s been more of a Sunday meal multiple pots and pans I will not hesitate to use the dishwasher. There are a thousand things I would rather be doing than washing dishes!

I have a aunt that comes over she volunteers to do the dishes no matter what the amount. One dish at a time she will hum some random song, patiently scrubbing each dish drying it and putting it away, She really does love it lol.

When he retired, my husband took over the kitchen. When he cooks, I can’t believe how many pots, pans, bowls, etc. he uses. But, he does dishes, too, and will not use the dishwasher. Me, I’m a dishwasher person……whatever makes my chores easier!

We use the dishwasher about three times a year, and then only because I don’t want the seals to dry out. (It happened once, after a big holiday dinner. Water all over the kitchen. It wasn’t fun.) With just the two of us, we run out of silver wear if I wait to have a full load to wash!

I like washing dishes over drying. It seems like we always run out of silverware, glasses, or bowls before the dishwasher is full. I usually hand wash my forks and spoons as well as glasses after I’m done. It just seems like you have to have a crazy amount of glasses and silverware to equal it out. I like to live a simple, less stuff lifestyle. When I lived on my own, I was the dishwasher. I ended up using the same glass, bowl, and plate for a week. Just washed them after every use. I miss that. : )

When I was an undergrad, I worked part time washing lab glass. My dishwasher runs daily, thanks!

I’m pretty much a dishwasher gal. I have tons of dishes and glassware. Since it’s just me and I rarely cook anything requiring more than one pan at the most they can just stack up in the dishwasher until it’s full. My kitchen is always clean and neat.

That said back a few months ago when I was full on cooking and baking again sometimes the dishwasher was run twice a day. Big pans were washed by hand.
