Am I missing something? Isn’t this supposed to be based on High School sports? I would also still like some closure to the Thorp kids and pets. Since they have gone missing I have had quite a few sleepless nights.
I surely hope this thread gets real – the number of young folk-musicians, from pre-teen through college, is booming, and their peers are very supportive. There’s a lot of competition to get into folk-based programs at colleges like Berklee, and attendance by younger audiences at folk festivals and concerts is exciting. The kids are all right!
Nobody’s a folk singer? On the contrary, every angst-ridden teenage girl with a guitar is a bleeep folksinger. I suffered through enough high school shows to know.

She really must be a misfit- because everybody knows our high schoolers lead the nation in one thing only! Self esteem! It sure isn’t math and science…
