It’s amazing this marriage has lasted.

At the supermarket yesterday, the checker gave me half my groceries in a doubled paper bag with handles and the other half in plastic. Go figure…

I can turn in my plastic bags at the grocery store anytime I want where they’re supposed to be recycled. One can make all manner of clothes, carpeting, and other goods with them.

Dear God, save us from social warriors that really don’t give a shite.

It would be interesting to know just how both plastic & paper bags are made, what they’re made of, how much they cost, and what kind of impact they actually have on the environment. Maybe a good topic for the show, “How things are made.”

We use our own cloth bags that we have collected over the years from professional conventions and other places.

Can I just bring a box next time?

When I was shopping, I’d bring my cloth bags. Now that my groceries are delivered, a lot are in plastic bags. The good thing about the plastic—I can use them to line the small bathroom trashcans and scoop them out, tie them shut and pop them in the big garbage bin to go. And they’re also great for getting rid of kitty litter. You can tie them tightly shut and it eliminates the odors.

If not for plastic grocery store bags there would be a lot of doggy doo in our yard.
