Today’s cartoon shows why women have been saying for years that they also need a wife. You know, someone to cook, clean, take care of the kids, do the shopping, find everything that no one else can see, and still go to work and bring home money for the family. I know some men are equal partners in these topics and some do more than the wives, but historically and still currently but less so, women have been stuck with jobs most of us don’t want to be responsible for. I don’t think my ex ever wondered how his clean clothes just showed up every week or questioned that the sheets always stayed clean and neat. Miracles, maybe. Food was just requested and expected to appear, fully prepared.
I cook breakfast on Sunday, cleaned up my baking pan, but didn’t touch the dishes from the week. I usually unload and reload the dishwasher, but I am all tapped out from storm tree branch removal. I have to clean up the maple tree logs, then on to the pine tree that is over 30 feet long. Just finished cutting and stacking the oak tree wood.

Clean as you cook, as much as possible. Never use one bowl/implement for only one thing.
