I learned to type in the 5th grade on a blank key manual typewriter (this was back in the early ‘70s) and later worked as a transcriptionist on a Selectric, the best typewriter ever made! Now I type 120 wpm on a computer and my young trainees get upset when I can’t “teach” them how to do that.
