I think there are people who react the same way to a stimulus; often saying the first thing that comes to mind.

Obviously not a beagle as a test subject. They go right for the food. I just ripped a dead turtle out of mine’s mouth for the third time this morning. She had dropped it the first two times, and I hadn’t realized what it was. But when I had to grab something sticking out, it was a tail. It’s never boring taking a hunting dog on a walk, even if it’s well trained in obedience. I got her as an adult – if I can see it first, I can say “leave it” and she probably will. But if she gets it first, I have to pry her mouth open and go for it. You cannot imagine the things I have pulled out of her dainty little mouth. I hate walking on garbage day. No fence, no choice.

Way out of date… but as a psych major from the late 70s… I smiled…
