It really doesn’t matter if Farley is neutered if the female hasn’t been spayed. I have friends whose neutered male was always after their female when she was in heat despite the fact that he couldn’t actually do anything. It wasn’t until they spayed the female that things stopped.
A few days ago you and Susan were calling Elly heartless because she didn’t seem (to you) to care about the dog being missing. Now she’s a drama queen because she does care. Can’t win, can she?
I had a Golden Retriever and a Lab. The two of them shed so much that the vacuum was constantly plugged with their hair. Everyday was a new adventure of sweeping up drifts of it. I could have brushed those dogs until they were bald, and still they would have shed something. Someone told me that there are people who take dog hair and spin yarn out of it. I could have had sweaters, socks, scarves and hats for two lifetimes. I miss both of them – hair and all.
As a pet owner and someone who’s so tender-hearted they wear their heart on their sleeve where all dogs are concerned (and doesn’t feel the least bit ashamed about it either!) . . . I’m glad to see Elly finally showing some emotion over her lost pet. If that were my dog and I couldn’t find her, I’d probably be bawling like a baby right along with my kids! :-(
>>Elly = drama queen. Farley is only out to get, ahem, sow his oats. Should have gotten him neutered. But this episode wasn’t as bad as when Farley jumped into the water to save April and drowned. Now that’s something to cry about.<<And thanks for ruining this for those that are just now, following the strip.
A minor nitpick, but the official archive says 1995. Maybe you meant to type a 5 rather than a 6.What is being run today was originally published around this time in 1982. So Farley has perhaps more time left than I do. :)Sadly, the official archive blocks out the next 6 months of strips, to discourage reading ahead.

reese828, “drift” is an apt description for our dog’s sheddings. Don’t know her breed but it wouldn’t surprise me if she’s a lab/retriever mix!

Most of us already knew that you have the sensitivity of a horses butt, thanks for removing all doubt.

Doh, I haven’t seen these strips before… I keep getting spoilers! Guess I’ll have to stop reading the comments on this one.
