That’s for sure, and he’s not talking about his glasses!

“Play ‘em, don’t farm ‘em, Lloyd!” (An old fishing admonition.)

“Why didn’t you cut the line?

“‘Cause you’re the biggest thing I caught today. Nice fighting ya gave me there too, mind ya. Thanks.”

“Lookit here, Earl, a talking fish. Will you help me gut him? This one’s too big for me to do alone.”

“Shall we clean it and mount it on the wall, or just throw it back?”

“Yer choice, Lloyd. You caught it.”

Monty’s trimmed down. Still got it going on with the plaid. Makes him easy to identify.

What kind of bait was he using?

Time for catch and release.

Brings back memories of my cousin who fought for what seemed like 20 mins. to reel in his catch and when the treads breached he still thought he had a giant catfish on the line. We made him have his photo taken with the 14 inch tire because we knew no one would believe he reeled it in using only 5 lb. test line on a 202 reel. That photo is framed now and on his wall of fishing trophies 50 years later.

“I always wanted to catch a flounder…”

Is he ever gonna have a fish tale to tell.
