Mom: Petey! I'm going over to the playground with Alice. I'll leave your water bottle here by the sidelines. Petey: NO! Wait! Don't! Pick it up! Gah! It fell over in the dirt! Mom: Petey, it's fine. Petey: Eeugh. There's a bug that's almost right next to it! Go away - go away!

Considering his terror of uncleanness of all kinds, I wonder how many days (minutes?) after he was born before he toilet trained himself! ”I ain’t usin’ no diaper!!!”

^Wish that were true, but it’s not. However, you’re right that lots of children died from the diseases that we regularly immunize against now. Still, plenty of adults caught deadly diseases back in, say, the middle ages, even if the survivors ended up generally more resistant.

Next time you’re in Target and see those nifty colored aluminum drink containers and wondered “Who would need one of those?” now you know … the rest of the story. ;-)

Will this affect his “picky eater” rating? Wasn’t sure if water was included in that since technically it is a drink and not something you eat …. still you never know about rules and regs for those sort of things!
