You would have to be very stupid to believe garbage like that nonsense.

Since when is Dean this stupid? I could see Heart doing this because she loves attention but Dean never seemed to be that type. Until now, I guess.

    Oh dear!!!

Dean start thinking: what would Keanu do?

On the other hand, this brings to mind my own kids’ confusion when they reached that age, and their friends started to follow trends and be part of cliques, and my kids were still at the story book imagination stage…

There are too many people who believe worse.

Lies using faked associations with celebrities fool people who are older than these kids. When I first went away to Tiffin, OH for college in the 1960s a high school classmate also went there. He decided to lie in his dorm and tell others that he lived next to Johnny Carson at home on Long Island. Actually, his parents owned a small shop and he lived modestly as did we. I guess he thought that I might spill the beans so he also told a very demeaning lie about me, one that had me shunned by people who did not know me. People would actually cross the street the avoid me. The others in my dorm and some other friends worked hard to teach people the truth about me but the weight people gave to people supposedly associated with celebrities was so great that I finally just withdrew.

Of course, later, after some years spent working and then caring for my mother in her final illness I was able to go to a far better university, had some great adventures, learned a lot, and best of all met my hubby. So, for me things worked out right despite his lies and silly, gullible, awe struck kids who believed rumors.

I figure he was a damned fool kid at the time, but I still find myself wishing he would someday apologize and maybe donate the money I lost that semester to the university from which I graduated.
