My salon has no problem with masks on, but my hair is long, straight and broom cut. Not too involved and doesn’t interfere with my mask. Or my stylist’s.
I’ve never seen a UL approved hair blower/dryer with that long a cord. Most of these devices draw a high current, and having too long a cord (especially an under sized one) will cause the cord to heat up and possibly be the cause of a fire. Also, a long cord poses the hazard that the device will somehow make its way into a filled bathtub, whilst someone is in it, thereby rendering the bather ‘inert’.

Until they figure out a way to do haircuts on someone who’s wearing a mask, this is where we’re all headed.
