The older I get, and the longer I ride a bike, the more I find myself wondering, wouldn’t it make sense for a boy’s bike to not have a bar across the top as well? I understand why they do that for a girl’s bike, it made sense for a different place in time. But the bar makes getting on and off the bike more difficult, and can be downright dangerous physiologically speaking in the event of a crash.
