Love the staging today …

We still aren’t hep to the gender of the yet-to-be birthed “Little Al.”

Logistically, it would make sense for Ellie & Hubbs’ child to be a boy, as there aren’t any male babies in the strip yet …

(Roy doesn’t count!)

… but part of me would ‘love’ it if the child were given a non-gender specific name (‘Al’ could be short for ‘Alice,’ too!) and Bea was really cagey and evasive about the gender for a year or two. ✨❤️✨

Love Gabby’s growling stomach….

Char and Roy are posing like a couple of wild Sentai rangers during mating season.

Roy is only King in the “Pamper Camper.” Charlene is sexy when she’s mad. Hubbs is a quick study. Gabby was hungry. Even the fish on her bib is eyeing the feed. The sippy cup is at the ready to cleanse the palette. Al…er, Ellie has already seen that Hubbs is good with kids, ceiling fan follies notwithstanding.

Panel 4: And like a great white shark, Gabby’s eyes wide – as she approaches her prey, the pupils will quickly roll back as she devours her meal. It is rare we see her eyes open like this.

She’s lucky momma is so pretty, and daddy is so skinny, hopefully she’ll pick up both of those traits and not Roy’s appearance.

Except the eyebrows – but heavy brows are “in” now, right? Thinking Cara Devigne here.

So which baby is the Hubbs there to learn about?

Hubbs is a natural? Or is Gabby setting him up?

Gabby’s food-mouth is just about the cutest thing ever.

Dang, Bea… you left out the breast-feeding part! You’re showing in panel 4 that Gabby is already on solid food…

Gee, Roy… “King of Baby Feeding”… really? Care to show us a demonstration? I’m a slow learner… so, start with the basics, like ‘breastfeeding’, and then work your way up! Sure would like to see Hubb’s reaction at that point.

I like the part when babies push the food back out and drop the bowl to the floor. When I see my grandbabies do this to my kids, I smile and meditate on how sweet it is when karma is fulfilled.
