There was a day within my memory when a dollar’s worth of gas would half-fill my little VW bug’s tank – about 3 gallons, at 29 cents. Mum had a fit when gas went to 42 cents. Instead of 3 gallons, she only got 2 gallons and 2 drops.
We all know groceries have gone up but one dollar for one radish is just outrageous
