Will she pick up the sarcasm in that last remark? We’ll have to wait till tomorrow to find out.

I’m not going to say that his back problem is all in his head, but I will say he has a lot of problems in his head

I don’t think Adam can afford a new back. It’s very expensive. I hear that it runs about six million dollars. And he still wouldn’t be able to compete with Steve Austin.

My daughter pretty much had a grasp of sarcasm (at least when she was dishing it out, or it was directed at others) by the age of 8. Not so good at getting it when it was directed at her. Still has a bit of trouble when it is directed at her (at age 37) unless it is over the top (I think it is related to her autism – she takes things a bit too literally sometimes).

Sarcasm is best learned by experiencing it.

In my family we have an expression for what Adam says in the last frame: “DVS, which translates as Dripping Venomous Sarcasm.”

Considering one thing and another she and her brother are usually up to she doesn’t realize he did not point that at her. Then again could be she is up to the usual.
