    That is probably the best rendered horn that I’ve ever seen in a comic strip. (Not that there’s been a lot of competition.)

    That’s why you don’t see many French horns with mutes.I stayed at a musician’s place in San Francisco. She played in the symphony and had to practice her French horn. I told her I had had to deal with people practicing saxophone but she warned me, it was not the same. French horn is practiced by blowing individual sustained notes. It’s not melodic.
