Sad to say that as a software engineer, I’ve had to deal with text-to-number conversions often enough so that the conversion was automatic for me.

One of my fears is being stopped on suspicion of drunk driving and being ordered to recite the alphabet backwards. I barely drink but I still practice occasionally.

The thing is, Boopsie knows the 15th letter, and the 10th letter, and I had to count them out. That makes me feel really low.

No, I had the letters and their numbers all down before school starting school. In fact, I still use them to make calendars with magnetic letters on boards. This month J is on Thursday and O is on Tuesday.
