Apparently, this strip is before the MPAA ratings system, which would (supposedly) keep kids like Sluggo away from movies like that.

I find the fun that Bushmiller had in drawing the movie poster in panel #1 to be the best part of this strip. I find it to be terribly funny!
And the nine plewds in panel #2 show me signs of Ernie’s joy in graphic decision-making.
