Big Shirley sure is… um… “small.”

Not the most reassuring thing grandma could have said.

I think Big Shirley is cute. Although that fence looks kinda short.

B.S. has a special affinity for potential miniature golfers.

Big Shirley looks like a boar hog that needs shearing!

Grandma is totally oblivious to Alice’s phobia of Big Shirley who, by the way, is a sweetheart.

As the sound of the knife slaps down onto the cutting board…

Nuh buh buh guh…classic!

Looks like deviled eggs for lunch (again).

Cujo’s got nothing on Big Shirley.

Big Shirley can just step over that little fence, but I suppose that’s just Alice’s point of view.

That water dish looks way too small. Big Shirley needs a horse trough.

“Big Shirley” sounds like someone who “runs” a women’s prison gang, like “Queen Bea”… ☺

Doo-doo pick up with industrial super strength debris and particle bags.

I would give the children in my neighborhood a treat and have them tell my dog to sit and then give her a treat. A positive experience for the kids and the dog, and everyone was friends.

Kibble tastes great, but ankle biters are more filling.

Big Shirley looks like the big , bad Wolf! The wolf that went to Grandmother’s house. So, did Grandma domesticate the big bad wolf known now as Big Shirley?

Just like Mr Wu’s hogs from “Deadwood!” Perhaps that’s not a very comforting comparison.

Grandma’s getting her ammunition ready…

Panel 2 Alice is panic-stricken. But Mom Madeline will take her outside, with treats, to meet her nemesis, Big Shirley, who may be large in the eyes of a four-year-old, but is sweet and gentle as can be. Arf!
