Cockroaches are the grossest bugs ever; my late mother was repulsed by them (I never saw one before my entire life until I was 23 when I went on my solo vacation to the Big Island of Hawaii in 2007).

Once again, a little over 10 years ago, Richard posted a blog entry regarding this strip:

Does the bug transform into a VW Beetle when it hits the street? Awright!

The bug knows all this. That’s why it’s headed to the street – - – - escape!

I like crickets. They’re cute, fun to watch, and very crunchy.

You haven’t lived until you’ve worked in a monkey colony. The walls used to crawl with roaches at night; they thrived on the spilled monkey chow. Nobody was doing anything so I went to the library and found that the Navy had the same problem aboard submarines. They and other researchers learned that boric acid powder was the most effective blatticide and was also non-toxic to other animals (and us). I ordered some and put together a powder sprayer. On weekends I dosed the animal areas. The staff was overjoyed and folks stopped finding bugs in their desk drawers. You can get it a most drug stores. Sprinkle it in dry areas where roaches have been seen. Should help.

They might not actually know what a dung beetle looks like without following one once.

I love a parade! And the kids’ comments are delightful!

But now what can Dill do in this quandary?

I had never seen a cockroach in my 20 years of life. Hubby and I went home for Christmas from OU. While we were gone, the maintenance crew sprayed our apartment building for bugs. Since our apartment was the only empty one, all the cockroaches migrated to our apartment. Needless to say, when we got back after Christmas break, we spent the night in a hotel! I never want to see wall to wall cockroaches ever again! :)
