Last Spring when my daughter was remote learning there was a problem with the sound. The teacher said that it sounded like a truck driving by in the background. She had all of the students go mute and then one by one unmute. When my daughter unmuted the sound came back. Turns out that it was the fan on her machine. It was my wifeās old laptop from 2012. That happened on a Friday. She had a new laptop for Mondayās classes.
How about snacking on celery or carrot sticks. And do kids still use bubble gum, (as a kid, I never could make any bubbles with my gum, sigh)? At least you donāt have any sports types dribbling their ball while āinā class.
One of my apartment neighbors teaches 6th grade in a small community in the foothills of the Cascades Mountains in Oregon. About half her class is in refugee status due to the forest fires we have been having. And some of those students have lost their computer for her remote-zoom-classroom teaching. Iām sure class will go on. But Iām not sure how.
Ms. Harris is so calm, in charge in a good way and loves āher childrenā. She is the epitome of the perfect teacher. The students love her and she loves them.

Kidā¦ya know you CAN mute your mike. Video can become more of a problem when you are still stuffing your face with popcorn.
