He finds the coupon. He doesn’t realize it’s from an old girlfriend – he diesn’t even think of her. He thinks of his wife. And he wants a kiss from her. For as long as they’ve been married. Even after being told that it came from the old girlfriend, he still wants that kiss from his wife.
I can understand why she’s upset, even angry, because he made that mistake. But ultimately, was what he did so terrible? He’s clearly in love with the woman he married.
