    Cats can smell necrotizing tissue. Most people die of lung complications which involve cells dying in the lungs. Search and Rescue Dogs are trained to follow similar smells. Little known fact: at disaster scenes, when a dog has only discovered dead people for a while; they give him a break by “hiding” a live person for him to find. Dogs need “wins”, too.
