I was surprised the bulb wasn’t destroyed when he walked out the door.

If that’s a CFC “Idea Bulb”®, give it a couple of seconds to warm to the idea. If you do dump the idea, be careful not to break it by putting it in regular garbage. That’s not a good idea. It goes in with hazardous wastes. :)(Thanks for showing the filament inside, which only incandescent bulbs have.)
