Duke was too high to remember his mother’s name . And , maybe , Earl has step brothers/sisters somewhere .

Er, he didn’t so much “leave her” as “put some money on the dresser and went home”.

Now the kid has set fire to Duke’s imagination!

’S not like they were actually in a relationship.

That’s right…Duke did torch a property of his, didn’t he…?

It’s because Duke was busy engaging in “asymmetric economic warfare” from the wrong side.

Why do you start fires?

To collect on the insurance, of course. Just like Daddy Duke taught you!

You guys are looking at it wrong. Duke is going to pick up on the “setting fires” part and mentor the kid.

There’s NO good reason for the fires—-after all, whatever his childhood’s been like, none of the victims of his fires are to blame.
