So they are in the Caribbean? Whatever port they are in has enough clothing stores that even Rip could get fitted. Not to mention at least one motel, which implies a busy roadway nearby, with a healthy flow of traffic into and out of town, a pancake house to feed the hungry guests in the motel, and some sort of deli to provide beer and sandwiches. Sadly, it seems to lack cell service to Starlight.
The more immediate issue is that May-be might be a rookie, given her choice to use a boat that has the pilot house on the outside rear of the cabin.

I’ve had friends in retail services like this – and they to a person – told me that they had a pretty finely honed sense of when customers where going to be problems. Maybe not Rip Haywire problems, but problems none the less.
