In Heaven there is no beer. / That’s why we drink it here. / And when we are gone from here / Our friends will be drinking all the beer. -- Sing in polka tempo.
Whereas I’m a big proponent of reducing waste, lowering CO2 levels, renewable energy and the like, as an older person, warmer weather doesn’t sound so bad. Today our low temp was 38F. Tomorrow it’ll be 32F. Though I have contemplated moving to PR where the low is 65F, still I have this house free and clear and I’m not much for traveling or for relearning Spanish. I am aware that global warming has a lot more to do with rising temps and more to do with seriously changing climate resulting in more damaging hurricanes, tornadoes, and fires. So, let’s all wear our masks, watch our distance, and wash our hands along with drive EVs, conserve water, push for solar and wind energy, and recycle, reuse, and repair.
Climate change is affecting hops – the change in temperatures and humidity change the biochemistry of hops, which changes the flavor and aroma, which in turn will change the taste of beer.
It could also affect barley crops, without which there is no beer (I think, I’m not a beer afficionado).

I know that this is modeled after particular politicians… but at times… I wonder if there will be a museum for all of those life long pickled livers.

Plus, since breathing is getting to be a problem, hotter air inhaled means even less effort to maintain D.C.’s standards.

So is Senator Belfrey taking money from the oil companies or the beer brewers?

Climate change, not global warming Senator. It gives more leeway to be correct.
