I know how Nate feels, In the incredibly cold winter of 1963 in England, my brother and I came across two frozen wood pigeons who were almost dead. We took them home and put them in a towel in a cardboard box and put them in front of the fire. The next day they seemed to be fine and we let them go and they flew away. It gladdened our hearts no end!
Some time back a hawk banged into our office window, and hurt its wing – some of my coworkers caught it and handed it over to an animal control officer who was very apathetic-looking about the whole thing. Wish we’d had some means to see what became of it.
We heard a robin cry…we were outside and it flew into our front door and yes, it cried. It fell down, went to pick it up but it died in my arms. Can’t forget it. I bet all the Overboarders let out a big sigh this morning. Thanks, Chip.

I’m feeling really bad that we have a duck in the freezer for Thanksgiving! It’s a first and now I’m going to keep thinking about Nate and his ducks!
