Even if he wasn’t barred Andy would still have to buy a drink first.

I have just been looking at the replies to my comments of November 3 in which I mentioned that Guy Fawkes Night in the UK and Thanksgiving in America are historically connected by King James I.

I also mentioned that the Pilgrim Fathers were extreme Calvinists which led to someone asking whether my username comes from being a Calvinist or a Calvin and Hobbes fan. I am a Calvin and Hobbes fan but I am aware of some of the historical significance of Calvinism which influenced Puritan England, colonial America and the US Constitution.

James Bond is probably a Calvinist as Ian Fleming was a Calvinist and he made Bond half-Scottish and half-Swiss. The Calvinist Church is very strong in Scotland and Switzerland.

I chose Calvinist1966 as my username as I discovered Go Comics through looking Calvin and Hobbes up on Google and because I was born in 1966 which was a great year because of the World Cup and the Swinging Sixties.
