Tar and Feather – you drop the victim in the boiling hot tar. If that doesn’t kill them… you then toss them in the feathers. The weave of feathers doesn’t do much. But as they are trying to remove the hot tar off of them… they are also yanking of chunks of flesh from the the weave of feathers. And at one time… this was considered one of the more humane methods of punishing people.
