And the moral of the story is keep important papers in one secure location. And if it is a bank safe deposit box, be sure to have a second authorized person on file for access if you are incapacitated or dead. PS, also have a Will.
Yes, yes. No matter your age, have a will, living will, power of attorney and power of medical attorney. If selecting a family member or friend to oversee your living or dead wants, make sure you can trust that person. Have a back-up person just in case. Discuss with those named in your will or omitted. Let be known what you want and why. Reassess the above every 10 years or less especially if your marital status changes and/or have children. It is not morbid, just common sense and reduces ill will within the family. I have seen too many families split over small as well as large estates.
Not sure where my social security card is….I haven’t seen it for a long time. Thanks…..I will have to look for it and put it with the important papers I’ve been gathering.
I finally replaced mine this year. I had been without the physical card since it went through the wash in my jeans pocket when I was sixteen. We won’t discuss how many decades ago THAT was…
My comic from yesterday was posted late last night (sometime after 10 PM central) – I had about a week’s worth of comics done and scanned, but forgot to upload them to GC! So if you guys missed it you can check it out. (For once I was ahead of schedule only to forget to post the comic. GEEZ.)
general information: if you are looking for an SS card, go to your local(state) SS office and request one. SS office also has paperwork for those who lied about their age to (join army, drink, vote) to correct the paperwork.

You had trouble getting a replacement card? I’ve lost mine before and didn’t have a problem.

Didn’t one the recent poops, but not Frankie, do away with Purgatory? Or was that limbo for babies who died before baptism?

Considering my last couple of visits to SS offices, it might get you out of Hell, too.

I have been through the hell of trying to get a social security card for an incapacitated, elderly parent. There is no winning with that agency.

My purse was stolen in 2005 along with my SS card. I’m planning to go to the SS office to replace it as soon as run out of excuses not to.
