    I remember my father slapping the side of our TV. The reason was to jostle the tubes which had corroded slightly in their sockets. I saw him rear back and get ready to slap our new all solid state TV, but was too late in my warning – the picture went from fuzzy to a little dot in the center.

    It’s like our over the air antenna in the bedroom. I hold my arms in a V shape to get better reception.
