My first Thanksgiving after getting married, I took out the neck from the body cavity, but the giblets were left in. I did not check the neck cavity until after the bird was cooked. Did not realize that those would be in there. It really did not hurt the turkey or the flavor, but I was a bit embarrassed.
There are plenty of You Tube videos on cooking turkeys but I am sure he will come up with a creative solution. Deep frying is good but I would like a smoked one.
I used to work midnights in a phone center, late at night we would get overflow calls from a turkey and ham 800 number these callers were calling for directions on how to cook either a turkey or ham and the callers many did not know how to make a glass of water we tried to tell them they had the wrong number but if the same guy called back 2 or 3 times we wanted to just tell them to put it in the oven and set to oven clean and forget it

Too bad. That aluminum tent cover would make the skin crispier.

I hope he takes the plastic wrapping off before cooking!

Monty must have family somewhere; let’s see ‘em. Either Monty’s an aberration or they’re all wackos like him. Either way, it’d be great!

The manly way is to do it on the grill.

Probably not too late to donate the turkey to a local charity serving the homeless, Monty!
