Didn’t realize it was so much work to make a yard look bad.

they must’ve taken their decorating hints from the hillbillies who live a couple minutes drive from here – their property is decorated with a row of vintage rusting cars, oil drums in various colors and sizes (rusting), and a carefully curated assortment of trash…

for good measure, their apparently leaky roof is covered with blue plastic tarp, held down with duct tape (of course)…

Is that a free range?

They could have just waited for the next tornado.

Grass is too short and not enough weeds.

They need the exterminator for that big bug.

Really needs an old upholstered recliner or couch to finish it off. And like someone said, 4 foot horseweeds.

We used to pick up old furniture out of the rights-of-way to arrange in the neighbor’s yard- old folding lawn chairs around a big ole wooden spool, with a busted magazine rack and a crumpled Coke can or 2. Oh- we put a broken umbrella in the spool hole. Last one was an old stool with a little sprinkler inside for a do-it-yourself bidet. We have some faded pink plastic flamigoes waiting in the wings.

This is what happens when the folks who escape the congestion of places like LA go off grid “to get closer to Nature”.

I have known people that mowed the yard and found a car.
