We’ve stayed at BnBs a couple of times. One was… okay, but kinda inconvenient in some ways… and we knew one of the proprietors, so it was like paying to sleep over at a friend’s house. The other was a last minute reprieve from spending the night with an old friend who had been called away without notice. It was awesome. We came in to the odor of green chiles being roasted in the host’s kitchen, there were many things to do within walking distance, the beds were good, the patios were comfortable, and for breakfast, chiles rellenos from scratch. O.M.G.
I tend to agree to some degree. I like bed and breakfasts because usually they are more luxurious and are in more picturesque places – but I feel more relaxed in a hotel, particularly in a nice hotel. If they have had to deal with rock stars on tour and soccer teams after victories I’m pretty sure they can deal with my scattering of clothes around the room.
