See, this is when you need to diversify into guillotines.

Notice it’s “you”, not “us”. The boss already got his.

And, I’ll bet a doughnut it’s a relative that gets picked.

The last year that my husband worked for a private company, he didn’t get a full paycheck. But the boss promised he would get it all eventually. Then the boss died owing $$$.

You can bet that ain’t Congress.

Why are their noses on the sides of their heads? Or is that their lower lips poking over and out?

This is funny. Back in the mid 80s we had a time where the state budget was really tight. So tight our paychecks came with instructions not to deposit or cash until the first working day of the month….otherwise it would bounce. One spouse didn’t read that note and deposited the paycheck one day too soon….and yes it did bounce!
