Technology has advanced. I used to rewire the one and only black, Bakelite, rotary-dial phone with an extra long cord so we could carry it across the room to a convenient location.
Later on, we got “extensions” and they came in colors other than black.
Then we got them fancy push-button phones.
Then we graduated to cordless.
Now the telephone line is used to carry the internet signal into the house.
I lived in an era when television signals came over the air, and telephone signals came through a cable in the wall.
Actually, I still have a old Bell Telephone set. Down in the basement. It’s a yellow “Princess” phone landline mounted on the wall. It still works, but it doesn’t have caller I.D. so answering it when I am down there is a gamble. I have cordless landlines upstairs that I prefer. I rarely use my cell. (Yeah I’m old)

Had an aunt who had a phone with a cord so tangled up it took me 30 minutes to unravel. I got her a spinner adapter to solve the problem.

Paige has her moments where she gives Jason a bit of payback, and I love to see it when she does!

I have one in my home office as an emergency back-up if the power and cells go down. I keep it unplugged to avoid SPAM calls.
