Last fall we spent several weeks taking care of a two year old grandson, his newborn preemie sister who’d just come home from the hospital, her mother who was recovering from surgery after the birth and who had a whack of complications. Hold the baby, be joyful with the toddler, let the mom rest. So much love. This year, that preemie who had just barely pulled through is a smiling giggling happy little girl we watched learning how to walk by FaceTime, her big brother holding out a hand for her to hold onto to get started on those first few steps when she wasn’t sure just what to do next. We are the only adults she sees outside of her house who aren’t wearing face masks, whose whole faces she can see, because we’re safely in ours a thousand miles away. She keeps trying to climb through the screen or push it aside to get around or go past or whatever it takes to come directly to us. She knows we’re there! She wants us! She wants to be with us! Us too, baby girl, us, too. Soon.

Someone to hug

They could make a covid viral killer spray and spray it all over the world as Santa does his rounds.

Right Sans, what the letters are asking for is a safe, effective vaccine.
Which we may get for Christmas, though Santa probably won’t be able to deliver it all over the world in one night.

Was not aware elves can float.

Oh, knowing human behavior, I bet there are the same amount or more, to comfort the little “darlings”!

It appears the elf is walking on the wall. I’d like the contact information for Chip Dunham’s peyote supplier, please!

Shouldn’t Christmas ALWAYS be about things you can’t buy?

Let’s hope this return to what really matters lasts.

It’s the things that matter most that people want this year. This is the way it should be.
Good evening, Crew!

I like this, Chip. But it also makes me sad …

It’s been that kind of year for almost all of us. Here’s hoping 2021 will be better.
Good Evening, Crew.
