That’s definitely not how I operate. We buy new or used books. If we don’t like a book, we find someone who might like it or it ends up as trade at the used book store. We turned our living room into a library, and the great room is now the living room. There isn’t a cable outlet in the library – reading is supposed to happen there, not TV. We’re the ones who needed two moving trucks a couple of years ago when we moved into the house because the single truck was overweight due to the tons of books we have.

And most of the books in my “collection” are ones I expect I will never find in any public library.
