Years ago, my brother and nephew were great Dr. Who fans when Tom Baker was the Doc. She stayed up late many nights, trying to figure out how to get the scarf colours right (turns out it kept changing.) Over the years she ended up knitting some 7 or 8 scarves for the family, each one over 20’ long!
When Mom turned 100, my niece contacted Tom Baker and got an autographed 8X10 glossy from him, with the message: “Congratulations on your first 100 years!”

The trick is not knowing how to knit a scarf, it’s knowing how to stop knitting a scarf.

Better than a Christmas tie. At least it will keep him warm.

Most of us penguins would rather have bow ties to go with our tuxes…but well intentioned gift idea there!
