To think this would’ve never happened if the parents had come over, looks like these two are destined to never have a good Thanksgiving without them, so basically…they’re screwed! XD
Years ago, I was at a conference in Philadelphia. After the conference, I took a taxi to the airport. During the ride, I noticed the driver had his phone attached to his steering wheel with elastic bands. I thought that was clever, as he could easily see messages, and Google Maps without turning his head, just look down.
Well, Philly suffered icing conditions much like Sedine and Sam are in right now. The car lost traction in an alleyway and sort of skidded and rolled along. It barely bumped a wall, and the drivers airbag went off. We sat for several minutes and I called out to him, asking if he was all right. No response, and I was separated by a plexiglass partition from the driver. So I called 911 and they asked me for cross-streets. I left the car, walked down to the end of the Alley and saw the street markers. I relayed this to the 911 operator, and then saw someone from the local coffee shop wave me over. I went in and they were calling it in as well.
I sat in the coffee shop until the emergency crew and police showed up. I walked out to the car, and told the officer who I was, and that I was the passenger in the car. The cop looked at me, asked me where I was going, and I said I was going to the airport. He opened the trunk, pulled my bag out, and told me to call another cab from the coffee shop. Then he told me to go, fast.
I did as I was told and got out quickly. Later, I found out the driver was killed by his cell phone striking him in the chest and neck when the airbag went off. If I had stayed any longer, I would have had to do an interview with the coroner and that would have been hours later, so I would have missed my flight. Lucky for me, the officer let me go. Now, I don’t think it is so clever to put your phone on your steering wheel or dash board unless you know exactly where your air bags are coming from.
we had a bad blizzard when I lived in the sub-arctic. After two weeks it subsided and I did my patrol on foot. Found one of the RCMP cars with two inches of the roof antenna stick up through a drift. The airport snow blowers were the only ones strong enough to clear a road to the fire hall

How handy…
The News vehicle in the backround, could afford Sedine the opportunity to change into her hot snow bunny reporter outfit, and report on the scene…..
….one can only hope.

Is that the reporter that replaced her I see, if it is will they take the van and leave her standing in the snow?

No one tell Sedine the snow might cause her Black Friday plans to be cancelled too, I don’t think she can take any more.

Too bad they didn’t pick up any snow cone syrup at the store, knowing Sam he could’ve eaten them out of this predicament.

No need for Sam’s parents to visit—-he’s becoming them right before our eyes.

That snow wall blocking them reminds me of the 8 ft snow wall that covers the road up to Artist Point, still there in the middle of May!!!
