He probably started off by telling the other squirrels that only he could help them find food for the winter. Then once he had them believing him, he showed his true colors by taking them all for himself. The sad part is, some of the squirrels still believe him and keep brining the few nuts they still have.

I’m pretty sure Poncho will find a way to mess up Scrooge McSquirrel there. Perhaps a cooked cork in the bottom of the tree that needs pulling.

Put all the acorns in one spot and some dog or human will steal them all. Squirrels have horrible memories about where they hid nuts. My gardens, soft ground to bury things, have lots of trees coming up from forgotten squirrel stashes every year.
