now I’m terrified of two bicycle passengers flying over the bike’s handlebars when they go over potholes

Maybe that’s Mom’s way of teaching you Physics.

I was once in a Chevy Blazer driven my my commander (big mistake) bouncing from pothole to pothole up a dirt road climbing a mountain to visit one of our communications sites. He mentioned to me, “I’m trying to spare you all the pot holes I can.” I responded, ’Don’t worry about it, sir." I responded, “I’m sure if you miss any on the way up, you’ll catch them on the way back down.”

Now Rerun has that “I’m about to throw up” look on his face!

What if she falls into a manhole?

If I hit a bump or pothole my Dad would always tell me to “back up, you missed one”.

Just be glad you haven’t bitten your tongue, rerun

Rerun’s commentary these past few days, makes you realize his mother is a horrible bike driver…AND driving in winter. Call the child protection agency!

Rerun needs a helmet, knee and elbow pads, a poofy jacket and pants outfit, and good accident insurance coverage.

Practice makes it perfect

I had the same problem with known killer potholes along my bike routes as a kid…I’d see ’em coming, but inexplicably would steer right into them while intentionally attempting to avoid them.

It is funny how even on a bike – if you are riding the same route often enough your brain goes a bit on automatic and you do things like this.

I’m suddenly horrified to ride a bike with a parent.

At the speed she appears to be going, it’s amazing she hasn’t already trashed the rims of the bike.

Poor Rerun. Hope he didn’t get whiplash
